Wrightsoft Holds First Annual Design Competition, Announces Winner

Winning Design Uses Wrightsoft HVAC Software to Create Innovative, State of the Art Residential Duct System

LEXINGTON, MA, April 4, 2007—Wrightsoft Corporation today announced that Cristian Popa of Advent Air in Lewisville, Texas is the winner of the first annual Wrightsoft Design Competition. Popa’s winning design, an original residential duct system for a 5,600 square foot residence, was created using several modules of Wrightsoft’s industry-leading HVAC design software, Right-Suite Residential™.

The Wrightsoft Design Competition recognizes excellence in HVAC design through innovative usage of Wrightsoft software. Designs were carefully reviewed by a panel of HVAC system design experts including Wrightsoft CEO Bill Wright. The winning design was chosen based on several factors, including level of completion, project difficulty, equipment and system design, efficient use of energy, overall system cost, the level of professionalism and appearance of the design documents and system.

“There is outstanding HVAC systems design being done in our industry today, and we created the Wrightsoft Design Competition to ensure this work is publicly recognized,” said Bill Wright, President and CEO of Wrightsoft. “This year’s winning project, created by Cristian Popa, is the kind of careful HVAC design that represents best practices in our industry.”

Popa’s winning design was created using several Right-Suite Residential design modules, including Right-JTM, Right-DrawTM, Right-DTM, Right-SalesTM, Right-Proposal PlusTM, Right-2-Line DuctTM and Right-HV DuctTM. Together, these modules facilitate CAD-enabled design to speed the overall system design process, and allow for two-line duct drawings, CAD-quality layouts, and automatically generated parts take-off list and proposal.

Popa is the design team leader of Advent Air Conditioning (www.adventair.com), a residential and commercial HVAC system provider based in Lewisville, Texas. Advent uses Wrightsoft’s residential and commercial products to design and install approximately 2500 HVAC systems each year, generating $11 million annually. Through its use of Wrightsoft’s software, Advent has realized a significant competitive advantage by offering customers innovative, precise and professional system design and sales presentations.

Winners of the Wrightsoft Design Competition receive an 80GB Video iPod and an iTunes gift card.

Entries for the 2007 Wrightsoft Design Competition will be accepted beginning June 1, 2007, with a deadline of Dec. 1, 2007.
